Llanberis youth fined for throwing firework

A LLANBERIS youth has been fined for throwing a firework in public. The incident took place at Llyn Padarn on Saturday, October 18, and no one was injured. The village PCSO Michael Couling said: “A youth received an £80 fixed penalty notice after a firework was thrown in the Llyn Padarn area.”The penalty was issued after local officers received a call from members of the public. “I would like to take this opportunity to remind people that throwing fireworks in a public place is a criminal offence and anyone caught doing it could face a fine or even be charged,” PCSO Couling added. He also praised Llanberis residents for contacting the police in the first place. “We do rely on the public to make us aware if these types of incidents are taking place and hopefully with the issue of fixed penalties the message that we won’t tolerate this type of behaviour is getting across.” Read
